Smartphone Samsung Galaxy banned in Europe

Apple has won a patent battle against Nokia. Dutch court in The Hague has announced the beginning of a court decision prohibiting the sale of the Samsung S Galaxy, Galaxy II, and Ace smartphone (not including Galaxy tablets) in most of Europe.

Patent Based FOSS, this initial decision applies only in the member states of the European Patent Organisation (European Patent Organization) patent rights where a specific Apple software have been valid. There are some countries where Apple’s patents are invalid because Apple does not complete the filing and payment of costs, some countries are Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, and Spain.

In addition, the parent company of Samsung in Korea is not bound by the decision, but the Samsung’s main distribution companies in Europe are believed to be in the Netherlands. Therefore, Samsung will immediately reset the logistics chain in Europe before the decision is valid in about 7 Sun. The deadline for the decision was originally established on 15 September in order to give effect after October 13, but a Dutch court convey this decision earlier, thus giving more time for Samsung to reconstitute the logistics chain.

Apple Filing extensively against Samsung in the Netherlands came after the filing of Apple in Germany, where the initial decision of the German court impact on Galaxy Tab 10.1, but the court’s decision applies only in Germany alone. Apple also managed to block the sale of Galaxy tab Austria 10.1.
